We proudly support the Thelma Matilda Alves Foundation, donating £1.00 from every jar sold to help Black women navigate mental health challenges. Together, we’re creating safe spaces for healing, dialogue, and growth, including future workshops for estranged families through our partnership with Green Staples Global Ltd.
2. Our Journey
BEEyond Honey began in Africa, where sunlight meets soil and nature still whispers its ancient wisdom.
What started as a passion for sustainable beekeeping and community empowerment in Rwanda and Ghana soon became a mission to share that goodness with the world.
Now based in the United Kingdom, we continue this journey with a renewed sense of purpose. While our current honey is sourced from the rich meadows of Poland and Kent, it carries the same soul: pure, organic, and healing.
This transition has deepened our commitment to honouring our African and Caribbean heritage while building bridges across continents.
Our story is one of evolution from village markets to European shelves, from hand-infused jars to an international brand rooted in compassion.
By 2026, we plan to:
Manufacture and distribute BEEyond Honey across the UK, Europe and globally
Establish a processing and distribution hub in Tanzania.
And open specialist honey stores in Europe, the UK, Asia, and the Caribbean, showcasing the finest African and Caribbean honeys to the world.
Our journey is still unfolding, but one thing remains constant: our belief that honey can heal, connect, and transform lives.

The heart and vision behind BEEyond Honey, Adowa Koren, is a passionate entrepreneur dedicated to reconnecting people with nature’s wisdom. Her journey began in Africa, where she worked alongside local beekeepers to celebrate and preserve traditional beekeeping practices.
Now based in the UK, Adowa continues to carry that spirit forward, crafting honey infusions that blend wellness, sustainability, and culture. Guided by intuition, purpose, and faith, she leads BEEyond Honey with care and authenticity. Her mission is to make the brand a global symbol of healing, harmony, and heritage, proving that what begins in love can inspire across continents.
Gylain, known as Gy
Creative Director & Digital Media Lead
Gy is the creative storyteller behind BEEyond Honey’s visual identity and online presence. With a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of the brand’s emotional core, Gy translates Adowa’s vision into powerful imagery, digital storytelling, and engaging content that speaks directly to the heart.
Their work ensures that BEEyond Honey’s message of wellness, authenticity, and cultural pride shines consistently across every platform, from the website to social media and beyond.
Together, Adowa and Gy form the creative and spiritual heart of BEEyond Honey.
